He also served as Vice Chairman of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy from 1990-1997, and Chairman from 2008 to present having been appointed by Presidents’ George W. Bush and Barak Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. In 2001, Bill was appointed U.S. Representative to the 56th General Assembly of the United Nations. He was appointed in 2013 and confirmed by the Colorado Senate in 2014 as a board member of the Colorado State Fair Board of Authority.\r\n\r\nBill currently serves as Vice Chair of The Broadmoor Hotel and Chair of Garden City Company, Garden City KS. He serves on the Board of FirstBank Holding Company, Lakewood CO.
